LOOK BEYOND THE PICTURE, LOOK BEYOND THE WORDS
Sometimes, when words will not come, it is nice to just look at the photography, in quiet contemplation. Today, it is almost Silent Sunday. Words will not come easily for me, so I will post a selection of pictures, from which you can contemplate for yourselves the rural beauty of Dayton, Virginia.
It is refreshing to see the quiet countryside, a plain and simple people, living in a technologically advaced world in a peaceful existence in which very little changes in a rapidly advancing world.
Just look today at the rolling countryside, mountains, farms and water and reflect for yourselves.

Wonderful images, Mitch. How I love looking at them. Seeing the family in their buggy is very special. No words needed, other than your gentle encouragement to contemplate these peaceful images. 🙏

I love your comments Helen, and I am so glad that you are liking what you see. It means a lot to me. 🙂 I am so used to the lives of the Mennonites, that i take for granted that you do not have them just up the road from you as well. 😦 This makes me even more happy to be able to share them and their way of life with you! 🙂

All so beautiful, Mitch ! We have Amish not far from me, and the area is so peaceful, and lovely. We don’t have the mountains, but the land is very lovely ! I am near Berlin and Charm, and Sugar Creek, Ohio.

It is funny Jan, I knew you were in Cuyahoga Falls? but never knew what it was close to, now I know. So have you ever been to Lehman’s Hardware, or Non Electric store? I always thought it would be a great place to look around! 🙂 Thanks for commenting Jan.

Yes, I have been there. It has been a very, very long time ago. It is an experience ! You can find almost anything you need, things that you don’t see anywhere else. I have heard though that it is becoming very commercial. It always happens, and a shame . I am about 40 minutes to an hour away, and need to go back ! I love your pictures !
