These pictures were taken by me this morning when I noticed the white semi sheer kitchen curtains looked a vibrant shade or red/blue, so I grabbed my camera and went to the deck and got these pictures. Last night when I went to bed I asked God for inspiration in my life, as I had been in a several month funk, needing art supplies as well as needing to get out and take pictures and write for the blog. I am guessing he sent me inspiration this morning and this poem came to my mind immediately upon seeing the sky.
MORNING HAS BROKEN by ELEANOR FARJEON
Morning has broken,
Like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken
Like the first bird;
Praise for the singing,
Praise for the morning,
Praise for them springing
Fresh from the Word.
Sweet the rain’s new fall,
Sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall
On the first grass;
Praise for the sweetness,
Of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness
Where His feet pass.
Mine is the sunlight,
Mine is the morning,
Born of the one light
Eden saw play;
Praise with elation,
Praise every morning,
God’s re-creation
Of the new day.
