In the coming weeks, I will have posts on the Old Order Mennonites, as well as pictures from the Anthony Zimmerman Farm, which has the spring at Spring Creek, with dam and waterfall. Post with beautiful mountain views looking westward towards West Virginia, as well as many pictures of the many views of Mole Hill from all sides.

Thanks for the comment Helen, well I tell you from about 8:30 am until 10am you can hear the horse hooves on the black top coming from all directions in the Towns of Dayton and Bridgewater, VA, pulling the black box and top buggies to church and the surries (2 seated buggies). It is something that in todays technologically advanced world, seems to pull you right down to earth. There is something about this being in and amongst a group or sect of people for whole life seems to stand timeless, never changing, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. A good feeling really! 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to comment, I love reading and responding to comments. It really helps knowing all the back roads in this area, all the vistas, out there to be seen, and seen from several different angles. I still have to go back on a Sunday to get the pictures of the Mennonites going to and from church and the church yards full of horse & buggies hitched all around the churches. So I can see a couple hundred more pictures added to this in the coming weeks. 🙂

Ohhh, Mitch ! I wish I had been with you ! I love the country, and the farm looks just like the farms at Shipshewanna, IN. I haven’t been there for 6 years, and miss going there ! Wonderful area, and the flea market is gigantic ! Maybe someday you could go too !

WOW, what a surprise, I came and looked and here you were along with my friend Carolyn’s comment. So nice to see yours here too Jan. Oh I have so many pictures from yesterday, many many blog posts worth to write about. The only thing I need to do is go one Sunday morning when the Old Orders are in church and take pictures of the church yards full of buggies. 3 churches and each has hitching rails for several hundred horses. So glad you like the pictures Jan. This was just a quick post to get some of the pictures out. 🙂 Have a great weekend Jan! Thanks for taking the time to comment! Always appreciated! 🙂

Hi Carolyn, boy did I take the pictures yesterday! Need to go back on Sunday morning when the OOM’s are in church and get pictures of the buggies at church. Surprisingly there were not a lot out on the roads yesterday. Want to go back and get too a lot of places I did not get to this time around. 🙂 Thanks for your commenting!
