As many of you know, at least for now it looks like I have come to the end of the road with the basketry and chair caning after 25 years. Like I had said in recent posts, sometimes through life we learn things that we think we will never use again, and wonder why we did these things.

Well photography is not one of them, as the blog has presented many chances to use photography, albeit with simple cameras, ie point and shoot etc. Way Way back in the 80’s I did use my Pentax ME Super 35 mm film camera, and loved it, however through those years there was always that nagging thing of : I can afford the film but not have it developed and visa versa, which made it very difficult to get anywhere.

Now with the modern era and digital technology, I don’t have to worry about those things and have found it to be more fun when faced with a sincerely limiting budget each month.

Since the basketry seems to be coming to an end, (it may be with me next year due to an art show at a local resort in which I have been asked to join the other 13 artists (none of which are weavers) for the summer long weekend shows May – Oct. which I want to try to do.

However, photography will be the replacement for the basketry and the chair caning along with work in Precious Metal Clay and Fused Glass, for which I already have the kiln to do the firing.

I know there are several subscribers around the world to my blog who are photographers,  I would like to ask all of you, if you have blogs on photography you like to read, or websites you like to go to about photography, companies you like to deal with to have your prints etc made to sell?  I can look on the net, but that does not mean they are good places for research, however suggestions by photographers helps to know that the sites they like should be reputable.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Oh BTW, you might like to know I like nature, landscape, macro, and people photography, (especially of Mennonite and Amish) and their places of living and working, and their Meeting Houses.
