This morning while setting in Starbucks, Katrina my friend that works here, came to me and said look, and the sunrise was just beautiful, though I had to think what my grandmother and grandfather always said “Red in the Morning Sailors Take Warning” we have had some beautiful days in the past several days in the 60’s and today to be near 70!!! I am thinking it is going to turn really cold.

A customer here just told me next week lows in the teens and highs in the 30’s (see you always pay for really nice days during the winter!)

I just wanted to share the moment with you, though I do not thing the pictures are near as beautiful as the real sky looked at the moment, you will have some idea.

While these pictures look nice they lack the great detail the sky had this morning which looked like a freshly plowed farmers field in spring, with rows of red, orange and apricot light for soil, edged with gentle frost or snow at the edges in the furrows.

Below are a couple pictures of yesterday mornings sunrise. Not spectacular, however not every sunrise can be spectacular, if it were nothing would be special anymore.!

MORNING HAS BROKEN

WORDS BY ELEANOR FARJEON

Morning has broken
Like the first morning,
Black bird has spoken
Like the first bird.
Praise the singing!
Praise for the morning!
Praise for them springing
Fresh from the Word!

Sweet the rain’s new fall
Sunlit from heaven,
Like the first dewfall
On the first grass.
Praise for the sweetness
Of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness
Where His feet pass

.
Mine is the sunlight!
Mine is the morning.
Born of the one light
Eden saw play!
Praise with elation,
Praise ev’ry morning,
God’s recreation
Of the newday!
