Autumn, blooms, Fall, flowers, Geraniums

Well it is only anyone’s guess about whether Summer is Coming to an End or not, all I can say is that I hope that Winter does not come early or stay long! I sincerely hope that we do not have a winter anything like last winter.

Not knowing how long the flowers outside my back door will last, I thought I had better take some pictures now, however if they last a couple months longer I will take some others and post them again. The colors already look brighter since the weather is cooler.

The little yellow Viola was a welcome surprise!! He is a volunteer to the collection, he will bloom his little heart out all winter long.

Autumn, flowers, Geraniums, Lobelia, November, pictures, Sweet Alysum, Verbena, winter

PICT0337Who could guess that in November in western Virginia, the Geraniums, Lobelia, Sweet Alysum, and Verbena could be so beautiful. The days are in the 50′s and 60′s and the nights in the upper 20′s and low 30′s and the flowers against the house just keep on pushing out their bright and shining colors.

I decided on this sunny but cold day, that anytime now I will wake up to a not so pretty site. I thought I had better grab the camera and take the pictures now, fore tomorrow may be another story. The leaves on the trees have changed and dropped already and I guess soon my garden flowers will go to sleep for another winter.

PICT0050Well today is a beautiful sunny day, after a partial day of rain yesterday, while I live in an apartment that does not stop me from having beautiful container gardens, by adding color to the bland view of concrete, blacktop, and lawn.

Geraniums, Lobelia, Ferns, Cardinal Flower Vines, Ponytail Grass, Dragon Wing Begonias, Canna’s, Moon Flower Vines.
